"This must be his desk", said Tim. It had drawers on each side that were open but the one in the centre was tightly locked. Albert soon dealt with that little problem and they quickly set about photocopying the papers inside on the office copier.

There were a number of floppy disks of various types. Tim had been right to insist that they bring Sarah's laptop now reformatted and the contents of the disks were quickly transferred onto its hard disk system.

There was a computer connected to the office external telephone line. Tim quickly inspected it and made a few notes.

Within less than half an hour they were outside again, walking up to Tottenham Court Road station to catch the tube train that would take them back to the helipad and then Devon. And as they surreptitiously slid off the thin latex gloves they had all worn, 'Alfred the Great' slipped away into the night.

By one o'clock, they were back in Sarah's bedroom, stowing the booty from their raid in her cupboard.

"I cannot believe we have done what we have done", yawned Sarah. "We have committed burglary, theft and goodness knows what else - but I feel absolutely wonderful".

Tim smiled wryly across from where he was taking a quick look at some of the records on her laptop computer.

"I believe some say that burglary gives a better buzz than sex", he said.

"Which could be the cue for a return to our conversation of just a few hours ago", replied Sarah ruefully.

"I've been thinking", said Tim, "we're both pretty tired. It's been a heavy day. Why don't we just snuggle down in our own beds and make these decisions in the light of the new day. What do you think Sarah".

A small snore was his only response. He looked at her for a while, arranged the duvet over her planted a small kiss and drifted silently away to his own bedroom and was instantly sleep.

Tim found Sarah cross legged on her bed on Sunday morning with papers from the previous nights foray spread all around her. She wore a frown of focussed concentration that made delicate wrinkles around her eyes. Seeing Tim, her face relaxed into a smile that was welcoming but also a little uncertain.

"How's my glamorous adventurer, today", said Tim jovially. But he too felt uncertain and part of his uncertainty was the sudden rush of pleasure he felt seeing her.

Her fair hair had been casually pulled into a pony tail at the back of her head leaving her smooth jaw line graceful and elegant. She looked rested and content.

She decided for him how to say good morning by slipping off the bed and planting a kiss on his lips. The little hug that accompanied the kiss just didn't last long enough, he thought, and then she was back on the bed with the papers.

"Frankly", she said, "I can't make head or tail of most of them. They seem to be common place office memoranda for the main part. Nothing of any use to us".

Tim started to leaf through some of the piles she had organised. He had a practised air of someone used to paperwork.

"What did you make of this", he queried, holding up a couple of stapled sheets.

Sarah looked at the sheets again. There were names, addresses and telephone numbers and, across to the right hand side, a list of amounts tabulated in neat columns by month. Usually the amounts were the same but occasionally there were deviations which were accompanied by scribbled letters and numbers besides the amount for that month.
